What I have built and operated

This is not a resume and it is not a portfolio. It is selective evidence that I have built things, sold one of them, and run the operation afterward, which is the part that usually gets left out. Four entries, in the order they became true.

Belt Creative

Founder. 2018 to 2025.

I founded Belt Creative in 2018 as a Webflow design and development agency and ran it for seven years, building websites for mid-market B2B companies. It grew to a team of 10 and more than $1M in annual revenue, and became a Webflow Premium Partner with Enterprise distinction in 2024. In January 2025 we repositioned as a web experience agency. In October 2025 it was acquired by Veza Digital and became one of the brands inside the Veza Agency Network, where it still operates.

Agencies are context factories: most of what a client pays for is someone holding their business in their head. That is a good business and a terrible system, and it is the same failure I now see inside marketing teams that have no canonical place for their own context.

Veza Agency Network

VP of Growth, then CMO. 2025 to present.

I joined VAN at the acquisition as VP of Growth, and since July 2026 I have been CMO, leading marketing across Veza Digital, Shadow Digital, Belt Creative, and Hedrick, plus WAIO, VAN's AI-search methodology. The work is positioning, the design system, the content operation, the AI workflows the team actually uses, and the unglamorous job of making several brands share infrastructure without sounding like each other.

This is where the ideas on this site get stress tested. A marketing organization can own good tools, a real CMS, and capable people, and still produce inconsistent work, because the context is fragmented and one person is reconciling it. Being that person is how I learned the problem is structural.

What I am building now

Ongoing.

Marketing systems and AI workflows: canonical context in structured form, a design system that a model can be constrained by rather than merely shown, and the approval rules that decide what ships. This site is one of the working examples. It is a small, deliberately plain build: static pages built with Astro, essays in Sanity, code in git, no forms, no tracking beyond page analytics.

Building the thing you are writing about is a useful constraint. Every claim on this site has to survive being implemented by me, which removes a lot of tempting sentences.

Pyromaniac Digital

Founder. Ongoing.

What I am not doing here is selling an agency services menu. There is no packaged offer on this site and there will not be one. What I am always interested in is a specific conversation: how a marketing organization should be structured for the next few years, where a company's context actually lives, what a product in this space should be, and what is genuinely working for people running the same experiments. X (opens in a new tab) and LinkedIn (opens in a new tab) both work.
